Wizards Presents: Worlds and Monsters Wizards of the Coast, December 2007 and January 2008 I wrote a number of essays for both of these books. Great 4e previews! Posted at 04:55 PM Fourth Edition Core RulesD&D Player's Handbook, Dungeon

Wizards of the Coast, June 2008 Um, yeah, I was one of the lead designers for Fourth Edition, and played a significant part in the design, development, and writing of all three books. Here they are, available for pre-order. Posted at 04:52 PM Mon - October 1, 2007Rules Compendium, October 2007Rules

Wizards of the Coast, October 2007 Chris Sims did a phenomenal job compiling this celebration of the Third Edition rules. I wrote a few sidebars illuminating the text, as it were. Wizards of the Coast, September 2007 OK, I'm pretty proud of these, too: the first Dungeon Tiles to let you build natural caverns for Underdark adventures! Product description at wizards.com Posted at 10:56 AM Thu - August 30, 2007Storm Dragon, August 2007Storm

Wizards of the Coast, June 2007 A cool Eberron sourcebook about the Last War and its repercussions in the "present" of the campaign setting. I focused on mechanical bits while managing Wolf and Ari in their work on the book. Alex Jurkat did a monumental editing/development job for this book, and I applaud him. Kudos to whoever it was at GenCon this year who suggested we do an espionage-focused sourcebook, a "cold war" sort of thing, and call it The Fridge of War. Wizards of the Coast, March 2007 Co-authored with a D&D design dream team: Rich Baker, Bruce Cordell, Dave Noonan, and Matt Sernett. This is the first in a three-part adventure series that ushers in some significant changes in the Forgotten Realms. The keep with all the lizards is my responsibility. Wizards of the Coast, October 2006 Co-authored with the awesome Bruce Cordell, this is a complete overhaul and massive expansion of the classic adventure (not the whole campaign setting). It launched a short line of adventures featuring a new encounter format (goal: everything you need to run an encounter on one or two pages), and intended to be used as mini-campaigns. I think of it almost like an instanced dungeon in World of Warcraft: It's a site you can return to again and again on different quests. Only, I hope it changes more than an instance does. Wizards of the Coast, July 2006 My first novel! Book 3 in the War-Torn series is unconnected to the other War-Torn novels, and only loosely tied to the Last War. You should read this book. Book description on wizards.com Posted at 10:52 AM Secrets of Xen'drik, July 2006Secrets of

Wizards of the Coast, July 2006 I was the freelance-wrangler for this one. I tried to be more hands-on for this than I'd been with some of the other books I've done that for, and I'm quite pleased with the results—even if I had nothing to do with them. in Tales of the Last War, Wizards of the Coast, April 2006 This is a short story that serves as sort of a prelude to In the Claws of the Tiger. Not counting the bits on the web site, this is my first published fiction, and I'm very proud of it. Dania ir'Vran, the hero of the story, is a character who seems to be sticking with me even now. Eberron
Wizards of the Coast, January 2006 I really like this book, as a combination of an encyclopedic resource about Eberron suitable for a player's introduction along with new information and mechanical bits. The book was a bit of an experiment, in that I did all my design work in InDesign (instead of Microsoft Word) and put all the freelancers' contributions into InDesign as well, meaning I spent a lot of time worrying about copyfit. I'd never done that before, and it was a pain. That layout designed around 2-page spreads is cool in the final product, but it's hard work making it happen. I wish we (and our audience) were more tolerant of white space. Adventure on wizards.com, December 2005 I had the pleasure of writing a revision of the classic, original White Plume Mountain adventure with Andy Collins and Gwen Kestrel. This one is a tie-in to Weapons of Legacy, and includes stats for all three weapons (Wave, Whelm, and Blackrazor) as legacy weapons. Very cool stuff. And then Andy turned around and ran me through it a year and a half later... Read it online Posted at 11:46 AM Fri - October 28, 2005"The Eyes of Gith," October 2005"The Eyes of

Short story on wizards.com, October 2005 Another short story, along the lines of "At the Wellspring." I really like this one, too, as an example of the kinds of horror we're talking about in the book. The kind with githyanki in it. Read it online Posted at 11:44 AM |
