The PCs of Return of the Flamebringer

Shortly after we started this adventure, we started playing at my house instead of Ted's. This allows Amy to play with us once our son is asleep, and gives Ted a break from hosting, at least for a while. The downside is that I don't have the stockpile of painted miniatures that Ted has at his house. So during the first session we spread out the battlemat and I started handing out cardboard counters we could use for our PCs. I think it was actually Warren who suggested we instead use the Lego minifigs that Carter had been playing with before he went to bed.

Way back in the Sumberton campaign, Daneen McDermott used to use a Lego minifig for her character. The big advantage, she claimed, was that she could visually represent what weapon her character had in hand. Dave always hated it, and still does.

I'll show him, though. One of these days, I'm going to build the room for at least a climactic encounter (if not a whole dungeon) out of Lego and use that instead of a battlemat. That will be cool.

Here's Crucius, Dave's paladin, self-described as "a testament to the power of prison ministry." He's riding his late mount, Providence.

Ted's monk is a brutally strong half-orc named Durak Starstrike. That's a quarterstaff he's carrying.

Warren is playing a rogue named Hector. He's very sneaky.

Amy's cleric, Regina, looks nothing like this. Amy insists that I point out she hates this figure.

Veshann, my sorcerer, is so lawful good he might as well be a paladin. That's a lantern archon hovering over his shoulder, Gleam.

Not a PC, this is a brutal durzagon we fought a few weeks ago.
