Active Games

What I'm playing (12/13/03): Nothing! This fall, I put Mahasarpa on hold for a while and dropped out of the Monday Wednesday Tuesday Night game. I wasn't having energy to work on Mahasarpa—and if you're going to bring a campaign to a climax, yo ushould do it with proper preparation. Despite the fact that Dave started DMing his Dark Sun game, I dropped out of that group as well, primarily because I wanteed by evenings free to be home with my family. On top of all that, Charles Ryan had a baby, so he hasn't been running his lunchtime d20 Modern game for a while.

All that's going to change in the new year, however. I'm going to start running an Eberron campaign with an almost-entirely-new group of players including Andy Collins and Gwen Kestrel, David Noonan, and a tentative Erik Mona. We'll play once a month for a whole day, which I think will suit my schedule better. More details to come!

The Monday Night Game (DMs: Several)

This broad category includes Ed Stark's Forghul campaign, a couple of Forgotten Realms playtests, and whatever else we happen to play when we get together Monday nights. Players: Ed Stark, Dave Noonan (on paternity leave), Rich Baker, Warren Wyman, Tim Rhoades (out for a while), Amy Wyatt, and Dale Donovan.

Mahasarpa (DM: James)

A lunchtime game running on Thursday using the Oriental Adventures rules (and the campaign setting detailed in the web enhancement). Players: Mike Selinker, Dave Noonan, Gwen Kestrel, Eric Cagle, Johnny Wilson, and Amy Wyatt.

Playtesting At Work

I hardly ever update this page any more.

Imperium Romanum (DMs: several)

Established in 1990 as a cooperative venture among several DMs. Players vary as new people wander in and out of our lives, but include James, Paul Gries, Petra Hall, David Silbey, Mari Costanzo, Mark Lawrence, David Lieb, David Wallenstein, Matt Lewkowicz, and Dan Napolitano.

Aquela (DM: James)

My oldest campaign setting, which has undergone several revival attempts over the years. Players have included my old Ithaca group (Paul Gries, Petra Hall, David Silbey, Mark Lawrence, David Lieb, David Wallenstein, and Matt Lewkowicz), my Berkeley group (Geoffrey Gowan, Thor and Claudia Sparks, and Steven Johnson), and some of my WotC group (Dave Noonan, Tim Rhoades, Daneen McDermott).
